SBI Mobile Number Registration

If you have not yet registered your Mobile Number with SBI then you can easily register your number with your SBI Bank Account in just a few minutes by visiting any nearby SBI ATM or SBI Branch.

The request may take anywhere in between 24-72 hours to be processed and once it is completed, your mobile number will be registered with your SBI Account.


SBI Mobile Number Registration through SBI ATM

  1. Visit any nearby SBI ATM.
  2. Swipe your SBI ATM Card.
  3. Select Registration from the menu.
  4. Now enter in your SBI ATM PIN.
  5. Select Mobile Number Registration.
  6. Enter in the Mobile Number that you wish to register with your SBI Account and select Correct.
  7. Now, re-enter your mobile number and select Correct again.
  8. A confirmatory message will be displayed on the screen saying “Thank you for registering your mobile number with us.”
  9. You will receive an SMS including OTP and Reference Number on your mobile number. (Old and New)
  10. You will have to send that OTP along with reference number as provided in the SMS to 56767.
  11. Within the next 72 hours, you will be contacted from the SBI Contact Centre by a phone call. They will ask and verify all the account details.
  12. After that, your Mobile Number will be registered with SBI Account.
  13. You will also receive a confirmatory SMS on your Mobile Number that your number has been registered.

SBI Mobile Number Registration through Internet Banking

  1. Head over to https://www.onlinesbi.com/.
  2. Log in into the SBI Internet Banking using your login credentials.
  3. Now go to Profile > Personal Detail / Mobile.
  4. You will be asked to enter your Profile Password.
  5. Enter your Profile Password and click Submit.
  6. Now a screen will show up where you will get the option to set your display name, email ID and registered mobile number.
  7. Right next to the Mobile Number field, you will see two options. Select Change Mobile Number Domestic Only (Through OTP/ATM/Contact Centre).
  8. Now type in your mobile number and retype it for verification. Click Submit.
  9. Now you will get three options:
    • By OTP on both the Mobile Numbers
    • IRATA: Internet Banking request approval through ATM
    • Approval through Contact Centre
  10. Select By OTP On the Both Mobile Number and click Proceed.
  11. Now you will have to enter your ATM Debit Card information including Card Number, Validity/Expiry Date, ATM PIN, and Card Holder Name.
  12. After you enter the details, you will receive an SMS including OTP and Reference Number on your mobile number. (Old and New)
  13. You will have to send that OTP along with reference number as provided in the SMS to 56767.
