Link Aadhaar to SBI Bank Account

It has been made mandatory by the government to link Aadhaar Card with All SBI Saving Accounts. Unless Aadhaar and SBI Accounts are not linked, making any kind of transactions, ATM Withdrawal, Cash Deposit, fund transfer or passbook update will not be possible.

The SBI has provided its customers with a number of ways through which the account holders can link their Bank Account with Aadhaar Card and continue with their banking activities.


Link Aadhaar to SBI Bank Account through Internet Banking

  1. Visit the official website of SBI – https://www.onlinesbi.com.
  2. Log in into your Internet Banking Account using the Login Credentials. (Not registered? Go to New User Registration / Activation)
  3. Click on e-Services.
  4. Click on Update Aadhaar with Bank Accounts (CIF).
  5. Enter your Profile Password and click Submit.
  6. From the drop-down menu, select your CIF Number.
  7. Enter your Aadhaar Number and re-enter it again for confirmation.
  8. Click on Submit.
  9. Your Aadhaar Card will now be linked with your SBI Bank Account.
  10. You will also receive a confirmation once Aadhaar and SBI Bank Account are linked!

Link Aadhaar to SBI Bank Account through ATM

  1. Visit a nearby SBI ATM.
  2. Swipe your SBI ATM Card and enter your PIN code.
  3. Select Service Registration.
  4. Select Aadhaar Registration.
  5. Select your Bank Account type; Savings or Checking/Current.
  6. Type in your Aadhaar Number.
  7. Type in your Aadhaar Number again for confirmation.
  8. Your request will be accepted and processed.
  9. Once your request is completed, your Aadhaar will be linked with your bank account.

Link Aadhaar to SBI Bank Account through SBI Mobile App

  1. On your mobile phone, open the SBI Anywhere Personal (Android / iOS) mobile app.
  2. Tap on Request.
  3. Tap on Aadhaar.
  4. Now, tap on Aadhaar Linking.
  5. Select your CIF number from the drop-down menu.
  6. Enter your Aadhaar Number and re-enter it again for confirmation.
  7. Accept the terms and conditions by marking the checkbox.
  8. Tap on Submit.
  9. You will get a confirmatory message that your request to link Aadhaar and SBI bank account has been processed and your Aadhaar number is successfully linked to your SBI bank account.
  10. Tap on Ok to finish the process.
