To be in the digital payment race, HDFC bank also launched its own app “MyApps” in India. It is an unique banking product by bank which will benefit urban local bodies, housing societies, local clubs and gymkhanas and religious institutions. This app would help the organisations to get digitalised in the business. At present HDFC Bank is offering four types of applications — mySociety, myClub, myPrayer and myCity.
The app will also allow customization of their branding and content, HDFC Bank said in a statement. The app is available to get published in the name of bank on Google play and Apple store. This app would allow the users to pay the bills and charges. The app is totally free of cost so members would not have to pay.
MyApps will also allow the organisations to easily access to reports on payments, facilities booked by members, requests and complaints registered by users. This app can also be used for broadcasting notices and engage with members on various events, HDFC Bank said. Any number of the users can join the app.
Organisations are also able to send announcements to their users through this app. myApps will also have options to broadcast notices and engage with members on various events.
This app also supports 20 languages including Hindi and english.
As per the statement, the initiative is to boost the digital payments in India. With the launch of this new product, HDFC is tapping into B2B2C space. “The myApps suite of products will provide our institutional customers with convenience, flexibility and the extra digital edge they need to ensure they are enhancing their services and further the Digital India mission,” said Smita Bhagat, Country Head, Government & Institutional Business, Start-ups and E-Commerce, HDFC Bank.
